The E40-1 Diaphragm Review

The e40-1 diaphragm is an ATEX approved, oil free, 1 1/2 "synthetic" diaphragm pump that can be used with various media. The pumps do not require any lubrication and the foul air control system is bolted to prevent leakage. They are available in PP or PVDF and are perfect for use in hazardous areas.

The e40-1 utilizes two almost identical planar magnetic drivers facing each other and fed in opposite polarity. Each driver assists the other during each movement of the diaphragm, resulting in a very fast attack and an incredibly controlled response. This is also reflected in the Decay charts, where the E40 shows extremely low levels of distortion for a dynamic headphone. That makes this an outstanding value for the money. Definitely recommended!
